WooDuck – our story
Just before the covid crisis, early 2019, the idea of WooDuck arose during a family party. A cousin Sven and his uncle Marc decided to join forces and set up a webshop. Two generations, one in their early thirties and one in their fifties who share each other's experiences to set up a business, we recommend it to everyone. Together with our customers, we have started a story that may continue for a very long time.
WooDuck – a name with a message
As soon as we had launched the idea to set up a webshop together at that family party, the search for an appropriate name started. Numerous brainstorming techniques were used for this.
Sustainability was often mentioned as well as “wood”. Wood is a sustainable material that is used for all kinds of purposes. So “Wood” was already a word we wanted to use in the name. Then, don't ask me through which twist of thought, we ended up at the duck, the “duck”. Male ducks are often more colorful than the female ducks. This was very close to what we had in mind with the webshop: to offer accessories for men so that men can feel good and be themselves.
With “wood” and “duck” WooDuck was born. That the first visitors to the webshop were actually looking for photos of colorful ducks was a bit of a laugh. But in the meantime, there are also some of these first visitors who have now become customers.
WooDuck logo - the labyrinth
A photo of a brightly colored duck would have been an obvious logo, just pay the relevant duck the necessary portrait rights and that's it.
During a subsequent brainstorming session we ended up at the labyrinth. Just like in a labyrinth we are constantly looking, who are we, how we feel and how can we show who we are and how we feel.
The WooDuck labyrinth also looks mysterious, there seems to be some symmetry in it but it isn't, there seems to be a line vertically but it's an optical illusion and sometimes if you keep looking at the WooDuck logo, the labyrinth appears have an extra dimension. Each of us is unique, has something mysterious about it. We like to look for the right accessories for this man.
WooDuck - "The accent on you!"
At WooDuck, the emphasis is now on yourself. A simple and "to the point" slogan. Sometimes it really doesn't hurt to think about yourself and choose something that suits you, accentuate which look or message you want to give to the people around you.
WooDuck – our offer
WooDuck's focus is on men. We want to express who we are and how we feel through accessories. This can vary from day to day and with small accents to our outfit we can show this. Going to a meeting in a smart suit but with brightly colored socks on, a subtle cord as a bracelet to show that you have a life besides work,… or a stylish roller pen that you put on the table in front of you during the meeting.

Our catalog is not yet very extensive. Our story has only just begun and the catalog is expanding weekly, together with our customers.
We don't have an endless range that you can get lost in and run out of after a while. After a few minutes you'll find something you like... or you won't. Suggestions are always welcome. We may add this later in our range.
